Buy Penny Shares...

The expression Penny Shares is often used, and not everyone knows what it means. In fact it was only when a friend suggested I buy penny shares that I made an effort to find out just what that meant.
I discovered that penny shares are generally speaking shares that cost less than 100 pence in a company which at the time of recommending the shares have a value of less than £100 million.
As well as that each share has a price differential of at least 10% between the price you pay to buy a share, and the price you would sell it for.
This all sounds very straightforward and simple, and it is, but it is also risky.
Now to make a gain involves some risk, and it is up to the reader to do sufficient investigating about the company whose penny shares he wishes to buy before committing himself.
It is well enough known that there are really only two reasons that shares are valued at under 100pence. The first is because the company whose shares are valued isn't much good, and on the face of it, that is probably a good reason not to take the risk. On the other hand in a time of economic downturn the Company may simply have fallen on hard times. This is where research is so important before committing yourself to purchase. Your investigations may well show that the Company is under new management, and has a new direction, and in that case it may be very well worthwhile making an investment.
The other reason for a low share value can be because the company is so new that it doesn't even have an established track record. With nothing to go on, the shares are bound to be marked low. Let us suppose in the course of your investigations a company is new, it is a mining company, and you find it has found coal on the Falklands, that would be a reason to invest or a new pharmaceutical company is testing a drug to reduce Autism. That may be worth an investment.
One big reason for investing in risky penny shares and not a blue chip company with a share value of 14 Pounds Sterling, can be put quite simply.
A 50 pence rise in 50 pence stock doubles your money, and could see your 1000 Pounds Sterling become 2000 Pounds Sterling. A 50pence rise in stock worth 14 Pounds Sterling doesn't set the heart racing. Penny shares may be a gamble, but properly researched you can see a great profit.

How to write the perfect marketing email..

A successful marketing email needs to grab your prospects’ attention and convince them to open it. It then needs to tap in to their needs, wants and desires, and ultimately, compel them to take action by clicking on the link.

So how exactly can all of this be achieved?

1.      Include a Powerful Subject Line

The subject line is the most important part of your promotional message. If your prospects don’t open it, you stand no chance of making a sale. Consequently, the subject line needs to be exciting, intriguing, humorous or shocking. Whatever route you take here, you need to make sure it convinces the prospect to open it. But of course, it needs to relate closely to the content of the email!

2.      Be Personal

If you want your prospect to trust you and buy from you, it’s important that you create a positive relationship. And the first thing you can do to foster this relationship is to personalise your email. “Hi Peter” will receive a much greater response than “Dear Reader”, for example. Personally addressed email deliveries can be set up easily via email marketing services such as Get Response and AWeber.

3.      Insert Your Link Regularly

Don’t leave your call to action until the end of the email. You don’t know how much of the email your prospect is going to read, so it’s important that you insert your link a number of times in the copy to give them every chance of clicking on it. I’ve found that including the link around 3-4 times in an email has the best success rate.

4.      Be Concise

Long sales copy does work, but it’s definitely not suited to the email medium, where the prospect hasn’t consciously chosen to visit your site and read about your product. Instead, your email should provide a taster of what’s on offer, and the reader should then be encouraged to click through to your website or sales page for more information.

5.      Include the Main Benefits

As with any piece of direct response copy, the most important thing to do is answer the reader’s number one question; “what’s in it for me?” And the best way of doing this is to list the main benefits of your product or service in your promotional email and show the reader how it will make their life better.

Follow these guidelines and you’ll stand a much greater chance of converting prospects into customers!

Why You Should Target Long-Tail Keywords


When people ask me for advice on search engine optimisation, I often say to them that ranking on page one of Google isn’t about working hard, it’s about working smart.

To explain what I mean by this, I’d like to talk to you about long-tail keywords and how they can be used to help your website rank at the very top of Google’s search results.

Let’s say that you have a dog training website in Leeds and you’re trying to get the word out about your business. Naturally, in order to attract more customers via the internet, they need to be able to find you via the search engines (which is where most online traffic emanates from).

Well, this is where using long-tail keywords can help you…

Your first thought might be to target keywords like “dog trainer” or “dog training”, for example. I mean, these are the most keywords most relevant to your business, right?

So surely these should be the keywords you target?

Wrong!

And this is the kind of mistake that many beginners make. They target keywords that are far too general to their niche, and therefore, hugely competitive. As a result, despite spending weeks and months working on their SEO strategy, building back-links and adding content, they end up languishing on page 89 of the search results, where no one will ever find them!

They’re working hard, but not smart!

Instead, what they should be doing is selecting a series of long-tail keywords relevant to their website and targeting those instead.

And crucially, these long-tail keywords will have far fewer competing websites in the Google search results. Sure, the search volume maybe lower, but their chances of ranking on page one are far higher. And they can rank on page one for a multitude of long-tail keywords too, not just one.

With this example, it would make sense to focus on “local searches” by choosing keyword phrases such as “dog training in Leeds” and “dog training West Yorkshire”. You could then conduct some keyword research to drill-down into other long-tail keywords relevant to what your business offers, and you can do this by using Google’s Keyword Planner.

All you need to do here is type in your principle keyword (such as dog training) and then Google’s Keyword Tool will spit out a huge selection of alternative and relevant keywords to target, while also showing you the global monthly search volume of each one, i.e. how often those keywords are typed into Google.

This will enable you to select a small selection of tightly focused and frequently searched long-tail keyword phrases that are particularly relevant to your business, and what you offer.

Use this tactic, and you’ll stand a great chance of ranking on page one!

How to Network Properly for Your Business...

Networking can be a real drag. Even the friendliest, chattiest professionals will occasionally find themselves in the middle of a networking event wondering, “Where do I start—and how soon will this be over?”
However, it doesn’t have to be a drag. In fact, once you get past the a few initial awkward moments, you’ll find meeting lots of people and creating a strong industry network will provide answers to many of your business challenges.

Remember: Everybody’s there for the same reason

Most people hate networking events for the same reason—they’re awkward. They can feel salesy in a way that not every business owner is comfortable with. If this sounds like you, keep in mind that these events are meant for networking. You’re not passing your business card out at a wedding reception or your son’s piano recital. You’re at an event that practically demands you approach people you don’t know. If you’re going to go through the trouble of attending a networking event, get over yourself and approach strangers with confidence and regularity.

Know your lines

Preparation is key when it comes to effective networking. Before you attend an event, know the way you want to represent your company. Distill your purpose into a line or two that is easy to understand: “I own a framing company that specializes in high-end art.”
You also need to know what comes after this. What questions can you ask that will help you figure out a way to work with the people you’re meeting? What’s your reply when someone asks you about the price of your service or your plans to expand? Once you know how these conversations are likely to go, you’ll be able to arm yourself with questions that will make networking a valuable part of your business.

Follow up

What you do after the event is as important as what you do when you’re there. Anyone can put a business card in someone else’s hand, but the cultivation of that relationship is what will get you somewhere in the end.
Follow up with everyone you meet at a networking event. Send them an email a day or two after the event saying it was nice to meet them and that you’ll keep in touch. Then, reach out every couple of months to see how things are doing. It’s rare for business opportunities arise immediately after connecting with someone at a networking event. These things take time. So make yourself available and top-of-mind for your field. Of course, it’s best to do this without being too pushy or desperate. You want a potential customer to know that you’re there if they need you—not that you’re there, waiting breathlessly for a business opportunity.

Don’t give up

Didn’t make any valuable connection at the last networking event? That’s even more reason to go to another one. Don’t let a particularly unfruitful evening of mingling and talking shop get you down. As every small business owner knows, if at first you don’t succeed, you have no choice but to try again.

just means you need to be paid higher commissions
when the sales come in.

This allows you to reinvest and get more traffic.

Show value to your list and help them
and then they will buy from you.

That is all there is to internet marketing.

What Oprah DOES Know...That You Don't!

Did you know that Oprah Winfrey 
has managed to make BILLIONS of dollars, and you can 
use the same 'core strategy' of AUDIENCE/LIST BUILDING to

recommendations to them and profit wildly?

The formula is actually pretty simple.

STEP 1. Choose a profitable niche.

STEP 2. Set up system that allows you to capture the email 
addresses of people who are interested in that niche.

STEP 3. Offer them stuff and make money .

I know, it SOUNDS simple... but that doesn't make it EASY.
