China Launching Gold Backed Global Currency

According to the article, China is recasting all of their gold reserves into small one kilo bars in order to issue a new “gold-backed” currency. Many say this will disrupt global trade and will eventually cause a collapse of the US dollar.

There can be no doubt that the US dollar will soon be history. China is recasting all of their gold reserves into small one kilo bars in order to issue a new ‘gold backed’ global currency. This is surely a strategic part of their recent push to sign new trade agreements with Russia, Japan, Chile, Brazil, India, and Iran. The cat is now out of the bag, the US will be given the ‘bums rush’ by the largest trading nations in the world and the dollar will go down in flames. GATA now estimates that 80% of the gold that investors believe they have in allocated accounts is long gone, the majority of it probably wound up in China.

Many are the events, signals, and telltale clues of a real live actual systemic failure in progress. Until the last several months, such banter was dismissed by the soldiers in the financial arena. But lately, they cannot dismiss the onslaught of evidence, a veritable plethora of ugly symptoms of conditions gone terribly wrong and solutions at best gone awry and at worst never intended in the first place.

Russian Central Bank Official Predicts Blockchain Future

The deputy chair of Russia’s central bank has reportedly told commercial banking representatives that they should expect their industry to embrace blockchain technology in the next two years.

Moscow-based Rambler News Service has reported that deputy chair Olga Skorobogatova, appointed in 2014, told members of the country’s banking sector that the central bank sees a major role for blockchain applications in finance as the technology gains traction among the world’s financial institutions.

According to the news outlet, Skorobogatova said:

"In 2017-2018, we will see real examples of the use of this system. As a closed system, I think, [the blockchain] is the future, and we need to prepare for it."

The comments come as Russia inches closer to legislation regulating so-called money surrogates, a classification of non-government issued currencies that includes bitcoin and other digital currencies.

Earlier this month, an advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin remarked that the acceptance of bitcoin would constitute a crime.

However, questions have been raised about how the country would go about actually prohibiting activities involving the digital currency. At the same time, private businesses in Russia have begun exploring applications of the technology, with payments firm Qiwi going as far as declaring its intention to issue its own kind of cryptocurrency.

Looks like there’s a problem at a get-rich-quick scheme that claims to involve more than half the world’s population in “over 220 countries” – even though the last time I checked there were only 196.

Traffic Monsoon, run by American Charles Scoville, promises members a slice of the millions paid in online advertising every day.

Apparently all you have to do to is fork out $50 (£35) for an “ad pack”, and then daily click on 10 adverts that link to other projects such as Scoville's AdHitProfits.

It's easy to see how Scoville benefits - he gets ad pack revenue and traffic is driven to his sites through those clicks. But what's in it for people who join?

Well, once you're in, the more people you recruit, the more commission you get when they buy their own ad packs.

Which makes it sound suspiciously like a pyramid scheme and very similar to My Advertising Pays – which I exposed last year.

One worried reader told me a friend has poured her life savings into Traffic Monsoon.

“I have no doubt that there must be hundreds, if not thousands, of people like her who have put this sort of money in,” he said. “This stinks to high hell.”

My colleague Antonia Paget went to a Traffic Monsoon seminar in London that had the air of a cult meeting.

More than 250 people cheered and clapped as speakers praised the rapid growth of the scheme, which they say now boasts more than four billion users.

If over half the world’s 7.4 billion population is involved, it’s a surprise I haven’t heard of it before. Members were encouraged to bring guests and one man told a newcomer that it would be “the easiest grand you’ll ever make”.

But there’s a snag – users are struggling to remove their cash. Scoville claims this is because he is moving the company’s $54 million from PayPal and launching his own ‘TM World Bank’ in the Dubai World Trade Centre.

He’s not got back to me which is a shame, because I wanted to ask the self-styled “international leader in paid-to-click advertising” if he was also behind previous failed online money schemes including InfinityBux and Tviptc.

There is no information on the Crypto 888 Club website indicating who owns or runs the business.

The Crypto 888 Club website domain (“crypto888.club”) was registered on the 22nd of March 2015, with an “Aleksander Romanov” credited as the owner. An address in Malta is also provided.

Further research reveals Crypto 888 Club affiliates referring to Romanov (right) as the owner of the company itself. Why this information is not presented on the Crypto 888 Club website is a mystery.

Crypto 888 Club marketing presentations credit Romanov with owning “over 1000 betting shops and three casinos mainly in Eastern Europe”.

No further specifics are provided.

I wasn’t able to track down an MLM history for Romanov, so presumably Crypto 888 Club is his first MLM venture as an executive.

Binary Commissions

Residual commissions in Crypto 888 Club are paid out using a binary compensation structure.

A binary compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a binary team, split into two sides (left and right):

Positions in the binary represented recruited affiliates who have invested in at least one package.

Volume is generated by these positions through affiliate investment. Points are generated as per the referral commissions outlined above.

At the end of each week, Crypto 888 Club tally up the points generated on either side of the binary for that week.

Commissions are paid out based on the volume generated on the weaker side, paying out 10% of the total.

Conclusion

Under the guise of paying out a purported 80% of profits generated via sports betting, Crypto 888 Club operate a recruitment-driven pyramid scheme tacked onto a dangerous cryptocurrency model.

The pyramid scheme of the business is pretty straight forward, with affiliates paid a commission to when recruited affiliates invest.

How much is paid out directly correlates to how much is invested by the newly recruited affiliates, as well as how much the affiliate themselves invested when they signed up.

In this sense Crypto 888 Club has a “pay to play” element to its compensation plan, with the more invested resulting in higher commission payouts.

On the backend of Crypto 888 Club you have this whole OctaCoin thing.

Real money is invested by affiliates, converted into Ponzi points (digital chips), which are then subsequently converted into a cryptocurrency nobody really knows anything about.

Quite obviously OctaCoin is being run by the same people behind Crytpo 888 Club (the 8s sort of give it away), with a whole bunch of coins preallocated to Aleksander Romanov and his buddies.

The value of OctaCoin is going to be artificially determined by the amount of funds coming from affiliates, calculated after binary, referral and matching commissions are paid out.

What with 24 weeks of monopoly money compounding investment, don’t expect OctaCoin to be worth much anytime soon.

Especially considering the coin is absolutely worthless to anyone outside of the Crypto 888 Club opportunity. Any merchants who do accept the coin are going to be Crypto 888 Club affiliates themselves, looking only to further increase their share of OctaCoins.

The beauty of the cryptocurrency Ponzi model is that Romanov can encourage affiliates to keep their funds trapped in the system, by promising that an exponential growth phase for OctaCoin is just around the corner.

Real money flows in, some is paid out via the binary, matching and referral commissions, and the rest dumped into a bank account.

Everyone is encouraged to retain their OctaCoins, in the fear that they might wake up tomorrow and see the value has skyrocketed.

That of course never happens, with Romanov and top investors quietly withdrawing deposited funds.

Then, when people start to wake up and cash in their coins, everyone finds out there’s no funds left and the scheme collapses.
